Mos Def Arrested

Here's more VMA related news. Rapper, Mos Def was arrested outside of Radio City Music Hall for disorderly conduct when he attempted to do an impromptu show for the street gatherers. The performance was unauthorized, and well...he's a nigga, so of course the NYPD came to shut his black ass down. Apparently, there was some sort of mix up in communication between Mos and the police when he was told to leave, hence he was taken away along with his brother and members of his entourage.

"Mos Def was unjustly arrested tonight while performing on a flatbed track in New York City outside the Video Music Awards," said his publicist. "Mos Def was not out to break any laws. His only goal was to heighten the awareness of a serious situation that still exists in our country. He does not want people to forget that although it's one year later, the people and cities hit by the hurricane still need the help of the American people."
